De Profundis Clamavi explores, in the form of an altar to my character Ayzaltus Salbalanjo the ProtectHealer, spirituality and self empowerement.
I imagine myself as a dual spirit, protector of the forest behind my grandparents’ house, as a way to process grief for the child that was my mother’s miscarriage after my birth, and that I will never get to learn to know. I am empowered by their spirit guarding me.
De Proundis Clamavi was conceived in the second semester
of my BA Fine Arts, at Central Saint Martins.
